Paradise Great Barrier Reef Trip

This is truly a special sailing vessel. Designed by the renowned Sydney naval architect Grahame Parker and constructed by Jarkan Yachts. Passions of Paradise travels daily to two destinations. The first is to Michaelmas Cay and the second is to Paradise Reef. Both locations have an abundance of fish and coral, and the coral is located right next to the boat so you don’t have to swim far to see it.

Michaelmas Cay is an unspoilt paradise recognized internationally as one of the most important bird nesting sanctuaries on the Great Barrier Reef. Host to over 20,000 sea birds, this unique and fragile ecosystem combines brilliant white sand with colourful soft coral, warm shallow water and an abundance of marine life. Perfect for snorkelling, scuba diving, glass bottom boat tours or just relaxing on the beach.

You are on an award winning boat, that most recently won the 2005 & 2006 Queensland Tourism Awards. Our aim is to provide a personalized experience on a fun boat, with great staff, excellent coral, and value for money.

Our second destination, weather permitting, is to the Outer Barrier Reef, where we have our own exclusive mooring at Breaking Patches, called Paradise Reef (hence no crowds). Here you will find the beautiful hard coral gardens that the Outer Reef is famous for.

Extra costs:

Glass Bottom Boat

For those passengers who wish to see the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef and not get wet, the company has recently built a custom designed glass bottom tender. A marine naturalist guided tour is offered at Michaelmas Cay.

Introductory Divers

So you would like to get up close and personal with the fish and the coral like Jacques Cousteau!!!

Intro diving is safe, fun, easy and the best way to see the Great Barrier Reef. Our Diving Instructors are highly experienced, calm and fun to be with.

NO experience is necessary, and you don’t even have to be able to swim. You will be given a full on-deck briefing, shown how the equipment works and in small groups of no more than 4 divers, be led on a Diving Instructor controlled dive.

At the end of the dive you’ll have seen the reef, fish and coral the natural way and had heaps of fun doing so.
